On Friday, 15 October 2021, we were once again pleased to welcome representatives from the Mars company to the Master's course "Sales Management". The guest lecture by Mars is a repeat of a long-standing and good tradition to give students valuable insights from corporate practice.
Professor Manfred Krafft presented the latest insights into direct selling research in a webinar on October 5, 2021 together with Professor Anne Coughlan, Emeritus Professor of Marketing at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, and Dr. Robert Cavitt, CEO of Jenko and Director of the Direct Selling Education Foundation.
Professor Manfred Krafft, head of the Chair of Marketing Management at the University of Münster, has been appointed as "Honorary Professor" at the University of Auckland for a period of three years.
In the middle of September, Professor Krafft and his team from the Chair of Marketing Management (IfM) visited the Department of Marketing at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, which is headed by Professor Stefan Hoffmann. In compliance with the COVID 19 protection measures, an exchange-rich colloquium was organized that offered ample room for discussions.
From August 11 to 13, the team of the Chair of Marketing Management (IfM) spent its annual research retreat at Landhaus Rothenberge to discuss current research projects. Of course, the applicable hygiene guidelines were adhered to, so that the meanwhile fully vaccinated team was able to make the best possible use of the days.
On June 29, the Chair of Marketing Management had the pleasure to welcome Interbrand as a guest in the course Marketing Operations. With more than 45 years of expertise in brand management and offices in 14 cities, Interbrand is a global and leading brand consultancy. During the 90-minutes guest lecture, Fabienne Duschak (Consultant Brand Strategy) and Hiroyuki Suzuki (Senior Creative) offered various insights into their career paths and daily work.
Once again, FB4 students were honored as real "WiWi Talents". Ann-Kathrin Müller and Madita Petersen were nominated for the program by Professor Manfred Krafft, Director of the Chair of Marketing Management. Due to their exceptional performance during their studies, the two master's students successfully prevailed against 160 other applicants and won one of the 15 coveted scholarship places.
Also, this year we welcomed WWU alumnus David Middelbeck, co-founder & managing director of edyoucated, for a virtual guest lecture in the Bachelor course Marketing Operations taught by Professor Krafft.
On June 8, the award ceremony of the “Preis der Deutschen Marktforschung” took place in a digital format. This year's winner was the MCM student Anne Zeh who wrote her master’s thesis at the Chair of Marketing Management (IfM).
