As part of the course Sales Management, we were pleased to welcome guest speakers from Mars to our lecture hall again on December 9, 2022, after two years of virtual visits. The guest lecture from Mars is a long and always well-received tradition that provides students with valuable insights from corporate practice.

Towards the end of the week, the summit of the foreign ministers of the G7 countries not only dominated the press coverage, but also the cityscape of Münster. Now that normality is slowly returning to Münster, the question is what will remain of the meeting?

As part of a doctoral colloquium, Professor Manfred Krafft and his team from the Chair of Marketing Management (IfM) visited the University of Iceland in Reykjavík in mid-September. During two days, an exciting exchange with two different departments of the University of Iceland took place.

From August 2 to August 9, 2022, Professor Manfred Krafft and Michael Gerke visited Professor Anne Coughlan in San Francisco to work with her on a joint research project. In the research project, the three co-authors focus on performance factors in direct selling.

After two years of remote lectures, the Chair of Marketing Management (IfM) finally able to welcome two exciting guest lecturers as part of the bachelor course “Marketing Operations” in class again.

Within the last few years, the use of technology has become an indispensable factor in sales. At the same time, the level of complexity in the selling environment is constantly increasing, as customers become more demanding, and new business models in sales focus on the creation of value for customers by providing individualized offerings.
