Professor Kübler wins MSI Top Download Award 2018

Together with colleagues Anatoli Colicev (Bocconi University, Italy) and Koen Pauwels (Northeastern University, Boston), Raoul Kübler won the Marketing Science Institute’s prestigious Top Download Award. Their paper „Social Media’s Impact on Consumer Mindset: When to Use Which Sentiment Extraction Tool?“ was the most downloaded MSI report paper in 2018.

Gemeinsame Wege in Wissenschaft und Praxis

Im Zuge der Digitalisierung sehen sich Unternehmen aus der Entertainmentbranche mit diversen Herausforderungen bei der Konzeption und Vermarktung ihrer Produkte konfrontiert. Dies betrifft damit auch die Herstellung und den Vertrieb von Filminhalten. Im Rahmen einer neuen Forschungskooperation unter dem Titel „Movie Success Lab“ wollen die Weltkino Filmverleih GmbH aus Leipzig und das Marketing Center Münster gemeinsam dem aktuellen Umbruch in der Kino- und Filmlandschaft begegnen.

Research “expedition” to Chicago, New York, and Washington

From October 15 to 27, Manfred Krafft visited research partners in Chicago, New York City, and Washington, DC. He first met Anne Coughlan, a marketing professor at Northwestern University, to continue his research on top performing direct selling distributors. Both professors discussed research results, conducted additional analyses, and drafted a presentation of their findings. Professor Krafft also met with Vijay Viswanathan from Northwestern’s IMC group and discussed future research initiatives.
