The first virtual workshop for Henkel with the Circle of Excellence in Marketing (CEM) took place - already a routine for the students after a semester of online lectures. On November 13, 2020, 20 members of the CEM from Berlin, Cologne and Münster exchanged their academic and practical experience with the Henkel team.
Successful doctoral seminar of the IfM under unusual circumstances

In the middle of October, the team from the Chair of Marketing Management (IfM) spent its annual doctoral seminar at the Landhaus Rothenberge to discuss current research projects of its doctoral students. Although the format stems from a long tradition, this year's event took place under quite different circumstances due to the Corona pandemic. Not only were the applicable hygiene guidelines self-evidently followed, but also ways of digital communication were used to enable all team members an equally beneficial participation.
Doctoral colloquium of the IfM at the markstones Institute of the University of Bremen

At the end of September, the team from the Chair of Marketing Management (IfM) around Professor Krafft visited the markstones Institute of Christoph Burmann, Maik Eisenbeiß and Kristina Klein at the University of Bremen. In the course of a colloquium, five projects were presented by doctoral students. Of course, attention was paid to the compliance with the applicable COVID-19 protection measures, so that the colloquium also served as a good trial run for potential attendance events this coming winter semester.

How empathy helps to create successful advertising campaigns – Guest lecture by Grabarz & Partner

In response to the positive feedback for their guest talk last year, Grabarz & Partner again followed the invitation by Professor Kübler and joined the lecture „Integrated Marketing Communications” on July 6, 2020. During their 90-minute presentation, Reinhard Patzschke, CEO Consulting at Grabarz & Partner, and Bastian Goldschmidt, Head of Strategy, showed how they convert social trends into successful advertising campaigns.
CEM Workshop with Porsche

Over 20 members of the Circle of Excellence in Marketing (CEM) took part in the annual CEM Workshop at the headquarter of Porsche in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen. The two-day workshop, from the January 16 to 17, 2020, was designed to give CEM members a first look behind the scenes of the Porsche AG. The workshop further enabled an exchange of academic and practical insights between marketing students from Berlin, Cologne and Muenster and the Marketing team of Porsche.
