Professor Manfred Krafft referiert auf dem 52. BVM-Kongress

Prof. Dr. Manfred Krafft stellte auf dem 52. BVM-Kongress am 19. Juni 2017 in Berlin die Studie „Wie man die Spreu vom Weizen trennt - Optimierte Variablenselektion für die Neukundengewinnung“ den Kongressteilnehmern vor. Diese Studie basiert auf einem gemeinsamen Projekt mit Dr. Sebastian Tillmanns und war Finalist für den BVM-Innovationspreis 2017. Unter dem Titel „Marken verstehen und weiterentwickeln – Neue Wege in der Markenforschung“ folgten rund 280 Besucher der Einladung des Berufsverbands Deutscher Markt- und Sozialforscher e.V. nach Berlin.

Julian Allendorf (IfM) Receives GSSI Best Doctoral Student Paper Award

For his paper on “Direct Selling Distributors – Why Do They Stay or Leave!”, Julian Allendorf has been awarded with the GSSI 2017 Best Doctoral Student Paper Award. The prize-winning paper is based on joint work with professors Anne T. Coughlan, PhD (Northwestern University, USA) and Dr. Manfred Krafft (Muenster). The award was handed over to Manfred Krafft by the President of Mauritius, Ameenah Firdaus Gurib-Fakim (see photo) during a conference reception on June 8.

Julian Allendorf participated in the 30th EMAC Doctoral Colloquium

Immediately prior to the annual conference of the European Marketing Academy (EMAC), the 30th EMAC Doctoral Colloquium was held from May 21 to May 23 in Groningen, the Netherlands. The colloquium was organized by the European Institute for advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) and the EMAC in collaboration with the University of Groningen. Competition among all submissions for the available slots was fierce and Julian Allendorf from the Institute of Marketing was selected as one of 60 doctoral students among an overall of 136 applicants.

Institut für Marketing für den Preis der Deutschen Marktforschung 2017 nominiert

Das Institut für Marketing gehört mit seiner Studie „How to Separate the Wheat from the Chaff - Improved Variable Selection for New Customer Acquisition“ von Prof. Dr. Krafft und Dr. Tillmanns zu den Finalisten beim Preis der Deutschen Marktforschung für den Innovationspreis 2017. Der Berufsverband Deutscher Markt- und Sozialforscher e.V. zeichnet mit dem Preis der Deutschen Marktforschung seit 2005 besonders innovative und für den Fortschritt der Branche sowie für ihre Auftraggeber wichtige Leistungen aus.

Professor Manfred Krafft appointed as EMAC Fellow

In recognition of his significant and enduring contributions to the European Marketing Academy (EMAC) and his achievements of high levels of scholarship and as a leader in the field of marketing, Manfred Krafft has been appointed as EMAC fellow. Together with him, Ajay Kohli (Atlanta/USA, previous editor of Journal of Marketing) and Peter Verhoef (Groningen, VP Membership of EMAC) have been appointed as new fellows of EMAC. EMAC represents more than 1,000 European scholars in Marketing. The board of fellows consists of 17 recognized scholars, who stay fellows until their retirement.

Professor Manfred Krafft appointed as first international fellow of the Direct Selling Education Foundation

Professor Manfred Krafft has been recently appointed as the first international member of the DSEF fellow program. The DSEF (Direct Selling Education Foundation) pursues the target of uniting science and economy by enabling an exchange among leading academics, students and industry executives. Currently, 75 renowned professors from various disciplines such as business administration, economics and law serve as DSEF fellows.

Centrum für interaktives Marketing erneut als Bronze Förderer bei der ProTalent-Stipendienfeier ausgezeichnet

Unter dem Titel „Nach den Sternen greifen“ fand am 26. Januar die ProTalent-Stipendienfeier in der Aula des Schosses statt. In seiner Begrüßungsrede gratulierte Professor Dr. Johannes Wessels als Rektor der WWU den 206 ProTalent-Stipendiaten, denen zum Wintersemester 2016/17 eine finanzielle Förderung durch das Stipendium gewährt werden konnte.
