Jedes Jahr vergibt der Verband der Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft e.V. (VHB) auf seiner Jahrestagung den Preis für das beste neu erschienene bzw. grundlegend überarbeitete BWL-Lehrbuch. Für den VHB-Lehrbuchpreis 2021 wurde das Buch „Entertainment Science“ von Professor Thorsten Hennig-Thurau (Lehrstuhl für Marketing & Medien) und Mark Houston (Texas Christian University, Fort Worth) nominiert.

CULTMARTS 2019: Video Interview with Professor Hennig-Thurau about the Creative Industries and Emerging Markets in the “Era of Entertainment Science”

In September last year, MCM professor Thorsten Hennig-Thurau travelled to Bogotá/Colombia to offer the keynote speech of the first-ever CULTMARTS conference (see here). His presentation, entitled „Welcome to the Era of Entertainment Science“, was attended by about 500 managers from the creative industries.

Professor Hennig-Thurau offered key note on Entertainment Science at CULTMARTS conference in Bogotá

The conference, which was the first ever of its kind in Colombia and was attended by about 500 managers from the creative industries, took place on September 17 and 18, 2019 at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, one of South America's leading research universities.

MCM TV proudly presents: "Mallen the Movie"

Documentary filmmaker Paul Rieth has created an eight-minutes look back at last year's 20th anniversary event of the world's primary scholarly conference on the business and economics of filmed entertainment. In 2018, the Mallen conference series moved to Europe for the first time after having been hosted at UCLA, Yale, and New York University, among others, with MCM professor Thorsten Hennig-Thurau co-chairing the conference with Berlin-based producer/scholar/entrepreneur Jannis Funk, in cooperation with Abraham S.

Ann-Kristin Kupfer and Thorsten Hennig-Thurau win the prestigious JAMS Best Paper Award!

Dr. Ann-Kristin Kupfer and Prof. Dr. Thorsten Hennig-Thurau have been selected as recipients of the prestigious Sheth Foundation Best Paper Award, which honors the best article published in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, one of marketing’s A journals. The MCM scholars win this year’s Sheth award for their article “Pre-Release Consumer Buzz”, which they have co-authored with WWU’s Visiting International Prof. Dr. Mark B.
