CEM Porsche-Workshop: Combining Porsche Brand Assets with Generation Y “Driven Youth Assets”

From January 25 to 26, 25 members of the Circle of Excellence in Marketing (CEM) took part in the third CEM Porsche-Workshop in Stuttgart. The workshop was hosted by the marketing department of which some members including Dr. Stephan Nass, Alexander Georgoudakis and David Papenheim are also alumni of the CEM.

Prof. Dr. Thorsten Hennig-Thurau erklärt im einstündigen Tagesgespräch mit Moderatorin Christine Krueger bei Bayern 2 und zahlreichen Live-Anrufern, warum Online-Bewertungen eine so große Bedeutung haben -- und dass wir lernen müssen, mit ihren Schwachstellen umzugehen: „Wir müssen lernen, zu den Bewertungsportalen zu gehen, bei denen wir die aussagekräftigsten Informationen kriegen“, sagt Hennig-Thurau.

To Infinity-- and Beyond! Article by Kupfer & Hennig-Thurau published in JAMS

MCM scholars Ann-Kristin Kupfer and Thorsten Hennig-Thurau –together with co-authors Mark Houston (Texas Christian University) and Martin Spann (LMU Munich)—have published a new article on pre-release consumer buzz in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science. The authors explore what we all mean when we say "This movie has a lot of buzz!", offering a look at the concept's core. They employ a theories-in-use approach to conceptualize this important construct and use secondary data to illustrate the performance of the theory-based conceptualization.
