As the summer semester 2025 comes to a close, the Marketing Center is pleased to present the latest issue of the MCM News!
In this issue, we share updates on current developments in research and teaching and draw your attention to an exciting Marketing Alumni Münster event on November 14.
At the MCM, we are proud to provide the business students at the Universität Münster with a premium education in market-based management — built on academic excellence, thought leadership, and strong ties to the business world.
But we are not just educators — but also scientists.

From May 19–23, 2025, Associate Professor Anna Salonen from the University of Jyväskylä (Finland) visited the Marketing Center Münster to collaborate with Dr. Victoria Kramer and Prof.

The current application round for the student support program "Circle of Excellence in Marketing" ends on April 22, 2024.
The CEM is a 1-year talent program for outstanding marketing students from the University of Münster, the University of Cologne, and the FU Berlin. It is specifically designed to prepare students for interesting management tasks in internationally operating companies. Participants of the CEM program take part in various workshops offered by partner companies, among other activities.
Last week, the Marketing Center had the privilege of welcoming Florian Mair, Head of Amazon's Europe-wide fashion and apparel business and General Manager at the world-leading etailer, for not just one, but two engaging events. Florian Mair’s visit provided students with unique insights into Amazon's strategies that so strongly impact consumers as well as businesses on a global scale, the world of digital business as a whole, and invaluable career advice.
Established in 2010, the Marketing Center’s Brown Bag Seminar serves as a platform for intellectual and social exchange: leading scholars from around the world present and discuss their current and ongoing research projects with the MCM research community.
The MCM is thrilled to announce that 2025 will start with an extraordinary event.
Right before Christmas, University of Münster’s Marketing Center had the pleasure of hosting P.K. Kannan (University of Maryland), a leading marketing scholar and an expert in applying modeling, econometrics, machine learning, and AI methods to substantive issues in marketing. In addition to personal meetings with MCM’s faculty and PhD candidates, P.K.
