Virtual Guest Lecture by the Münster Start-Up edyoucated

Also, this year we welcomed WWU alumnus David Middelbeck, co-founder & managing director of edyoucated, for a virtual guest lecture in the Bachelor course Marketing Operations taught by Professor Krafft.

While still a student in 2018, David founded the non-profit student organization TechLabs, which aims to teach young people various tech skills in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Web Development and User Experience. Motivated by the successful development of TechLabs, David and three friends founded edyoucated, a highly personalized learning platform for companies, in 2019.

During the guest lecture, David provided deep insights into his career and the business model of edyoucated. He especially highlighted the importance of marketing analytics and explained how it shapes the daily business. Furthermore, David reported about challenges and learnings of his entrepreneurial path. He closed his talk by three key learnings the students should consider if they strive for an entrepreneurial career:

  • Train to be a generalist and follow your curiosity
  • Practice leadership
  • Learn fast and try to run into problems

We thank David once again for the inspiring insights and hope to welcome him again next year, hopefully in person.
