Chair of Marketing Management (IfM) attends this year's SVI doctoral colloquium in Hamburg

From June 24th to June 25th, the Chair of Marketing and Dialogue Marketing represented by Prof. Kay Peters from the University of Hamburg, invited to this year’s Siegfried Vögele Institute (SVI) doctoral colloquium. The colloquium is a yearly get-together of selected marketing chairs aiming to offer doctoral students the opportunity to present and discuss their research. Due to COVID-19 it had been two years since the colloquium was held in presence. Therefore, all accompanying marketing chairs from the universities of Kassel, Münster, Hamburg, Berlin (Steinbeis Hochschule) and Leipzig (Handelshochschule) looked forward to meeting in-person. From the Chair of Marketing Management (IfM), Professor Manfred Krafft and his research assistants Christina Okoutsidou and Janina Wiebringhaus joined the colloquium.

The event started with a dinner on June 24th giving everyone the chance to meet in a relaxed environment to initiate first conversations before having the presentations on the subsequent day. During the following day, eight research assistants from four universities took the chance to present one of their research projects. All presentations covered a variety of topics ranging from sales, word-of mouth and customer loyalty to sustainability, health and politics. Each presentation slot allowed room for questions and feedback from the audience which resulted in valuable and intense discussions.

To further learn from each other, the attending doctoral students agreed to keep in touch with updates on their current and future research projects.
