A Monte Carlo Robustness Study on Formative Measurement Model Specification in CBSEM and PLS
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present results from a simulation study, analyzing the robustness properties of formative indicators within different estimation methods. This study is unique in that it is the first one to investigate a model that primarily consists of formative measurement models. We do not discuss reflective and formative measurement theory comprehensively as this knowledge is assumed.
