This exercise will take place in the second term of the winter semester. It consists of a simulation in which you set up and manage a company in groups of five students over four quarters. The simulation will take place digitally from 08.01.2024 to 22.01.2024. You will be supervised by Master's students.
Note: The simulation does not include weekly appointments but is based on the following schedule.

The exercise " You're the CEO NOW: Zum ersten Mal ein Unternehmen führen" is part of the module "Willkommen zur Betriebswirtschaftslehre! Grundlegende Theorien & ihre praktische Anwendung ", which also includes the lectures "Grundlegende Theorien der Betriebswirtschaftslehre" and "Betriebswirtschaftslehre in der Praxis: Von Führungskräften lernen" as well as the exercise "Angewandte empirische Forschung". The following examination credits and credit points refer to the entire module and are not an individual performance of a single course.
Module Examination Credits: Written exam (75%) + written paper (25%).

Description
In the exercise "You're the CEO NOW: Zum ersten Mal ein Unternehmen führen" groups of five students will lead a company that operates in the 3D printing carbon fiber bicycle market. The scenario follows the lifecycle of a new product. You will take over different business areas such as marketing, management (human resources & organization), financing and accounting. During the event, you will be supervised by Master students. You will play in direct comparison against five other groups.
Please note: The simulation builds on the initial learning content from the lectures "Grundlegende Theorien der Betriebswirtschaftslehre" and "Betriebswirtschaftslehre in der Praxis: Von Führungskräften lernen".
