As a partner university of the "Makers of Tomorrow" project, we are pleased to support our students in the future in finding more courage to start their own business. "Makers of Tomorrow" is an online course for students of German-speaking universities on entrepreneurship. However, this is not an ordinary course, but a real "master class" whose vision is to give every student the opportunity to get in touch with entrepreneurship during their studies and learn from role models. In the first season, 10 inspiring founder stories are told.
As part of this year’s Customer Relationship Management and Direct Marketing (CRM & DiMa) course, lectured by Dr. Claudio Felten, two guest lectures were invited to the Chair of Marketing Management to provide practical course-related insights from their experience.
Once again, FB4 students were honored as real "WiWi Talents". Ann-Kathrin Müller and Madita Petersen were nominated for the program by Professor Manfred Krafft, Director of the Chair of Marketing Management. Due to their exceptional performance during their studies, the two master's students successfully prevailed against 160 other applicants and won one of the 15 coveted scholarship places.
Unter dem Format „Better Together“ durfte das Marketing Center am 8. Juni mehr als 40 Studierende und die Vertreter:innen der teilnehmenden Unternehmen digital begrüßen. Mit Dr. Oetker, LVMH, Porsche und VIVALDI konnten Unternehmen verschiedener Branchen für die Veranstaltung gewonnen werden, sodass den Studierenden die Möglichkeit geboten war, spannende und facettenreiche Einblicke in die Marketingpraxis zu erhalten.

The interview was broadcasted on German television on May 10, 2021. In this TV special, Manfred Krafft explains what the NIVEA brand means and discusses its success factors.
The Chair of Marketing Management had the pleasure to welcome Dr. Niklas Teichmann as the second guest speaker in this year's Market Research class. Dr. Niklas Teichmann is the Director Analytics and Data Science at L'Oréal. In his guest lecture, which was held via Zoom, he highlighted the power behind data, which perfectly illustrated the practical relevance of the methods taught in class.
A large virtual audience, consisting of distinguished scholars, friends, and family members, gathered across time zones, countries, and continents on February 19 to honor Professor Sönke Albers for his outstanding academic contributions. Professor Albers, who is connected to all senior and junior faculty members of the Marketing Center Münster, was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Special Interest Group on Selling and Sales Management (Sales SIG) at the 2021 AMA Winter Academic Conference.
On Monday, January 24, Dr. Mirja Kroschke from the Otto Group was a virtual guest in the course "Consumer Behavior". In her presentation, she gave students insights into the use of artificial intelligence to holistically improve the customer experience at the Otto Group. Dr. Kroschke works as a project manager and business intelligence strategist in the Otto Group's Data Lab. She is also a familiar face at the Chair of Marketing Management, having earned her PhD there in 2017 and served as a Postdoc until 2019.
Jedes Jahr vergibt der Verband der Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft e.V. (VHB) auf seiner Jahrestagung den Preis für das beste neu erschienene bzw. grundlegend überarbeitete BWL-Lehrbuch. Für den VHB-Lehrbuchpreis 2021 wurde das Buch „Entertainment Science“ von Professor Thorsten Hennig-Thurau (Lehrstuhl für Marketing & Medien) und Mark Houston (Texas Christian University, Fort Worth) nominiert.
