IWM receives Funding for Sustainability Research as part of the DINER Project

The Chair of Value-Based Marketing (IWM) is pleased to receive funding from the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture to support its research on sustainable nutrition as part of the DINER project.

Running from January 2025 to December 2027, this collaborative initiative aims to develop an innovative, user-friendly, and personalized recommendation system that encourages more sustainable eating habits.

At the heart of the project is a digital application designed to provide consumers with tangible benefits:

  • Promoting Sustainable Eating – The app facilitates implicit learning processes to help users adopt more sustainable dietary habits.
  • Guidance in Grocery Shopping – It assists consumers in selecting more sustainable food alternatives.
  • Personalized Recommendations – The system considers both individual taste preferences and sustainability criteria.

The DINER app is being developed in collaboration with the REACH EUREGIO START-UP CENTER, FH Münster, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, TU Berlin, and beemo GmbH. Once completed, the app will be made available to consumers to support more sustainable nutrition choices.
