As the summer semester 2025 comes to a close, the Marketing Center is pleased to present the latest issue of the MCM News!
In this issue, we share updates on current developments in research and teaching and draw your attention to an exciting Marketing Alumni Münster event on November 14.
It's a question retailers and restaurateurs have long pondered: does background music truly impact the bottom line? A recent study by GEMA, the German music rights organization, provides a clear and resounding answer: it absolutely does. In a recent interview with Radio RST, Prof. Manfred Krafft commented on these findings, noting they are a welcome confirmation of long-established principles in consumer psychology.
From August 4 to 6, 2025, the IfM (Chair of Marketing Management) team spent three days at an off-site seminar at Landhaus Rothenberge to intensively discuss current research projects. The focus was on project presentations by each team member, which impressively showcased the thematic diversity at the institute. The critical and constructive discussions provided all participants with valuable input for their future work.
We are proud to announce that Prof. Dr. Sebastian Hohenberg is one of the new associate editors of the renowned Journal of Marketing Research (JMR) published by the American Marketing Association.
