Professor Dr. Raoul V. Kübler holds the Junior Professur for Marketing since July 2018. Before joining Münster’s Marketing Center, he worked for 6 years as an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Özyegin University, Istanbul, Turkey, where he similarly was part of a leading marketing research team. He holds visiting positions at the University of Amsterdam’s Business School and the Graduate School of Economics and Management at the University of Geneva. He frequently teaches executives and leading marketing managers about latest developments in integrated marketing communications, digital marketing and big data analytics.
Professor Kübler holds a Phd from Christian-Albrechts-University at Kiel (Germany) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Sönke Albers, as well as a Diplom-Kaufmann (equivalent to M.Sc.) from the same institution. Further, he holds a Vordiplom (equivalent to B.Sc.) in Business, Economics, and Psychology from the University of Hohenheim (Germany).
Professor Kübler’s work has been published in the world’s top marketing journals such as the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Marketing and Research, and BuR Business Research. His work has further been several times nominated and awarded by the European Marketing Association (EMAC) and the German Research Foundation (DFG). Professor Kübler serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for leading, international marketing journals such as JM, IJRM, Marketing Science, and JMR.
His current research focuses on user generated content, digital marketing, marketing return on invest measurement and big data in general. His methodological interests are in machine learning, sentiment analysis, and time series analysis.
Before joining academia, Professor Kübler worked for several years in the advertising industry, where he took over responsibilities for leading brands such as Europcar, Axel Springer Media, or Bosch. He still enjoys being in close contact with marketing practitioners and frequently consults international companies such as e.g. TetraPak, Rausch AG, PepsiCo, Yandex, GfK, and OD Yachting about marketing strategy and marketing return of invest measurement. Further, he serves in the jury of the Neptun Cross Media Advertising Awards and is a passionate offshore sailor.
